How Paid Ads Can Boost Your Business

Why Paid Ads Can Be a Game Changer - But Only When You’re Ready

In the ever-changing digital world, getting your business noticed can feel like trying to shout across a busy room. That's where paid advertising comes in. For me, running ads was the secret sauce that gave my leads a serious boost. But, like any good recipe, there’s a method to making it work - and it starts *before* you hit that “launch” button.

The Power of Paid Ads

Let’s get this straight: paid ads work. They help you reach the right audience, at the right time, in a way that organic content often can't. When I started running ads, I saw immediate improvements in my lead generation. Suddenly, I was in front of people who hadn’t heard of me before, but who were a perfect fit for my services. It felt like a light switch had been flipped—everything just clicked.

But here’s the catch—paid ads only work if they’re part of a bigger picture.

Organic Strategy First, Ads Second

I always recommend having a solid organic social media strategy in place before diving into paid ads. Why? Because your organic content is where you build trust, engage with your audience, and establish your brand’s voice. Paid ads might get people in the door, but it's your organic strategy that keeps them around.

When you’re actively sharing valuable content and engaging with your followers, ads become the cherry on top. They can accelerate your growth, but they shouldn’t be doing all the heavy lifting.

Know When You’re Ready for Ads

If you’re thinking about running ads, here’s my honest advice: don’t jump into it until your business is at a certain level. Ads require time, strategy, and a budget—and it’s not something I suggest outsourcing right away. Understanding how ads work, what kind of results you’re aiming for, and having a clear goal is key to making the most of your ad spend.

One thing I like to do before planning an ad strategy is to look at my past sales data. I pay close attention to which months have historically been slower for my business. Those are the months where paid ads can make the biggest difference. By running ads strategically during those slower periods, I’ve been able to boost sales and smooth out the revenue dips that tend to happen during quieter times.

Are Paid Ads Right for You?

Paid ads can absolutely help you reach new leads and grow your business, but they should complement your overall strategy—not replace it. If you’ve got a strong organic presence, know your business inside and out, and are ready to invest in growth, ads can take you to the next level.
